The world burned. Whole continents were engulfed in fire, leaving nothing behind except ashes and another black patch on the face of the earth. It was no normal fire. It never was. Myth and humans alike perished, even the dragons with their extreme resistance against fire fell after seconds of exposure. Some called it righteous, others believed it to be the wrath of some entity. But it didn't matter in the end, as both sides were eaten by the flames.
I survived the first wall and was flying westwards since I started to fly over the Atlantic, away from the flame wall which moved around the earth and the many graves of friends and loved ones.
I was trembling with excitement. The world's first virtual reality game, the game that had been highly anticipated in pretty much... well, everywhere, was finally here. Vernia, a fantasy, massive multiplayer online role-playing game had finally arrived, and with it, the pioneer of the future of gaming. What made it so special? Well, at its time of release, it was the FIRST, and yes, I will emphasise that again, FIRST virtual reality game ever.
It wasn't exactly cool, with the huge helmet-thing that you were suppose to wear, but I suppose when considering that one didn't have to hook up your brain to a neural interface with like, a gazilli

Chapter 1: spirited away
As usual, I made my way to the library, toting a large bag full of work to boot. I was counting down to the big national examinations, which were but a week away. Left before my first paper, and I was nowhere as prepared as I would have liked to be…
I strolled into the library, the blast of cool air from the escaping air conditioning providing a refreshing respite from the hot muggy air of the outside. I made my way to the second floor where the study tables were. However, I was somewhat disappointed to find most of the tables already taken. I spent some time walking around, looking for a seat.
Eve
It was a bright sunny Saturday morning, the weather was ideal for the middle of august and there was a weak but pleasant wind.
Four people met in a park in Madrid, one woman and three men. All of them looked rather worried, despite the nice and warm weather. The place they were standing was hidden from direct sight, but open enough to look for possible pursuers. They all had business suits on, except the woman, who was wearing clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. All of them were at least past their sixties, featuring at least a few white straws in their hair. They all nodded to each other as they met.

The sky was very dark as I made my way to my brother's house. I was told that it hardly ever rains in California but this rain was cold, yet sad at the same time. Like how I felt. To me, it was like a signal of things to come.
My name is Titus Flamel. I'm a thirteen year old boy. My parents went missing less than a month ago. My grandparents were dead and my dad's mom was poor and unable to care for me. My brother and his wife were the only family I had left.
I sighed a little and kn
"Come on, when is it going to get here?" I paced quickly near the front door waiting for a package from a friend who I met on the internet. It seemed like months since the person told me that they had made me something as a gift when it was really only a week of waiting. Groaning, I looked at my watch.
12:03
Only eight minutes had gone by. Just as I was about to give up all at once (I have a short attention span) I heard a ring at the doorbell. Quickly opening the door, I found only a package. Puzzled, I looked at the package but found no return address. "Weird, I thought he would give at least a return address so I can thank him. Oh well,

Chapter 1: Mysterious Beverages
It was around 2 a.m. and everyone had gone to bed except Lee. He was a true deviantArt fanatic and was on the site as much as possible. It was hard at first though since he had to keep his account secret for the first couple of weeks until his parents found out.
Suddenly, Lee heard a familiar sound, a rattling metal fence. He let it go assuming it was a cat; being that there were many felines in the area. Around 30 seconds later he heard it again, going the other way! Lee knew something was up and, knowing he was the only one who heard it, went to the back door to have a look. He knew he w
It's the early morning ona Tuesday. It's around 5:30 am, and there is a giant scrapping noise on the port side of the ship.

"Uh. What was that?", is what I say while walking to my door. As I exit my room I see people heading down the corridoor. "What's going on?", I ask. Then a strange old man tells me "The ship has hit something, and we were told to head to the boat deck." "Okay. Go tell the captain the I'm heading to the lower deck to check out the damage." "I will, and good luck to ya." Then the old man heads up
It was 10pm on Sunday and i sat in my room booted the computer to check my messages on DA. 10 messages that someone added my artwork to his or her favourites. I deleted the messages and started searching for dragon pics, but found nothing that interested me. I logged me out and turned off the computer when I heard the thunder rumbling outside. I went to the window and looked to the sky. I looked at the storm for a half hour and every thunder sent a chill down my spine. I dont know why but I enjoyed that cold feeling every time. Maybe it was because I was a cold person, I never showed sympathy for anything. 9/11 nothing, Michael Jacksons
